Shivam Daftari, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Forge Advocacy Inc., is from Atlanta, Georgia. He is an International Business and Supply Chain double major while minoring in Political Science. He was a former Fulton County Youth Commissioner, in charge of drafting and tracking bills in the Georgia State Legislature as the Chairman of the Legislative Committee. He then served as Deputy Secretary of Government Relations for University of South Carolina Student Government, directly involved in lobbying on behalf of UofSC and overseeing the Legislative Action Network and the Congressional Advisory Board. Mr. Daftari has also spent time studying abroad in Morocco and the UAE. He is fluent in Spanish, Hindi, Gujarati, and Arabic.
James Bronsted, a Board Member at Forge, is from Atlanta, GA. He currently attends the Georgia Institute of Technology as a Computer Science and Mathematics double major with a minor in Japanese. He is a former intern at Bronsted Law Firm with experience in litigation and damage assessment. He is also a former nationally ranked debater, representing the Lovett School. Mr. Bronsted is fluent in Croatian, French, and Japanese.
Maria Humayun, a Board Member at Forge, is from Columbus, Ohio. She attended the Ohio State University as an International Relations and Public Management double major with a minor in Economics. She currently attends American University as an International Relations Major. She has served as the North Campus Senator in the Ohio State Undergraduate Senate as Vice Chair of Allocations, overseeing thousands of dollars for student organizations. Ms. Humayun has also been a representative on the Ohio Attorney General's Student Debt Advisory Group finding new ways to help students pay loans. She also has experience as a field representative for the Progressive Turnout PAC in the 12th district of Ohio to increase voter turnout. Ms. Humayun has some levels of fluency in Spanish and Arabic.
